Chaplain Benefits

The USCC Mutual Assistance program offers a financial safety net for chaplains in need. This emergency fund can deliver rapid financial relief to chaplain members dealing with an unforeseen or unmanageable financial obligation. Chaplains who require such assistance may apply for a loan, and if approved, the emergency loan is interest-free.

The expenses incurred through the use of uniforms, books, religious and faith material, and reasonable out-of-pocket expenses in the performance of chaplaincy duties may be counted as contributions for the purposes of tax deductibility. The foregoing is not intended to replace professional tax guidance, and it is recommended that you consult your tax accounting advisor for more details.
Chaplains take pride in their uniform and work hard to live up to the role that it represents. USCC seeks to recognize chaplains’ efforts by offering potential for awards and advancement. There are plenty of opportunities to receive credit for your service by completing chaplain training courses and participating in programs authorized by your division leadership.
Chaplains can benefit from various USCC Work-Life Programs including:
  • Family Wellness
  • Career Coaching
  • Business Startup Support
  • Healthcare Advocacy
  • Financial Resources
Good, old-fashioned hospitality is one of the hallmarks of the USCC culture. We welcome friends, neighbors, and interested members of the public to participate in one of our many meetings or seminars, where they will enjoy the unique camaraderie among the chaplains. In between our missions, we make sure to unwind and have fun on chaplain outings, training sessions, patrols, classes, and conferences. Chaplains make lasting, meaningful friendships with those who hold the shared purpose of the chaplain community.
